Feuduccio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC)

Founded by Gaetano and Maria Lamaletto, il Feuduccio covers 99 acres of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo on superb, high-rising terrain set between the Mount Majella and the Adriatic sea. Here, they created an avant-garde winery, crafting this unique, oak-aged red – fleshy, complex, beautifully structured, intense in aromas and flavors.

Altitude of Vineyards: 432 mt. asl

Vineyards Exposure: the vineyards are excellently facing southeast, southwest, northwest

Soil Composition: mixed clayey-calcareous

Grapes: 100% Montepulciano

Number of vines per hectare: 3.600-8.000

Crop yield: 80-100 q/ha

Harvest: handpicked, from 15 to 30 October

Fermentation: 70 to 150 hl. stainless steel vats, with daily pumpovers at a controlled temperature for 15-18 days

Elevage: french oak barrels of various capacities (2.25-50hl) for 12 months

Aging: bottle for at least 6 months
