Feuduccio Pecorino

Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT)

The native Pecorino grape is rooted in the farming, pastoral civilization of Abruzzo and finds its ideal habitat in the cool, elevated hillsides of the estate Il Feuduccio. A pure varietal from a careful clonal selection since 1997, its elegant bouquet of wild flowers preludes a fresh, full palate with notes of ripe fruit, licorice and honey.

Vineyards Exposure: Southeast/Southwest

Soil Composition: mixed clayey-calcareous

Grapes: 100% Pecorino

Number of vines per hectare: from 1.600 to 4.000

Crop yield: 70 - 80 q/ha

Harvest: handpicked, at the end of August

Fermentation: stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature

Aging: in stainless steel, afterwards in bottle for 3 months
